Reading Wrap-Up 2019

I read 22 books in 2019, which I am pleased with, especially as I enjoyed everything I picked up! I completed a few series that had been sitting on my TBR for a while, reminding me how much I loved the previous books (and wondering why I hadn’t read the final book sooner!).

I started the Lunar Chronicles towards the end of 2018 and completed the rest of the books in the series quite quickly this year – a new fave!

I also finished End of Days by Susan Ee and A Mad Zombie Party by Gena Showlater, completing another two series I started a while ago.

I read four Kasie West books – Pivot Point and Split Second, Fame, Fate and the First Kiss and Lucky in Love. I can read any Kasie West book cover to cover in one sitting so I am glad I still have two unread on my shelf to look forward to. And another releasing in 2020!

I started some popular series with upcoming TV adaptations and read Northern Lights by Philip Pullman (then watched the TV show, which I loved!) and I also read Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman, which I’m looking forward to watching too.

I read new releases by authors whose previous books I’ve read and loved, like Caster by Elsie Chapman, The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L Jensen and Between the Blade and the Heart by Amanda Hocking. Looking forward to more from all three!

I discovered a new author when I read The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw. I now can’t wait to read Winterwood!

I read The Wicked King and The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black – devastated that this series is over!

And I continued my re-read of the Harry Potter series, finishing Prisoner of Azkaban at the beginning of the year and ending it partway through The Goblet of Fire, which I finished the first week of January.

What a great reading year. I’ve set my Goodreads goal to 25 books this year and I’ve already got some exciting reads on my shelf and kindle that I can’t wait to get to.
